yesterday i officially finished my last ever FALL semester of my undergraduate career! …which is totally awesome because fall semesters have never been kind to me- this semester included.

if there’s a few things i learned this semester it’s this:

  1. if you want people to be involved in something, you gotta be involved with them. involvement, interaction and communication matters. be involved.
  2. people can see your success [and failure]; however, people don’t see the struggle, emotions and sacrifices that come with it.
  3. like a dropped soda bottle, feelings will get messy when dropped and bottled. you already know what happens, you know things are going to explode, you anticipate it, you feel it, but you will never know how it will truly feel or how you will react to it until explodes in front of your face.
  4. no matter how hard you try, you can never force a connection.
  5. always back up your phone -__-
  6. the best way to appreciate something is to be without it for a while. this applies to people too. and… if you didn’t know this already, i truly appreciate you.
  7. everyone longs for companionship. everyone.
  8. people like to wear masks. and some of those people like to choose a pretty mask that disguises their ugly heart. but i can see right through you. you’re not fooling anyone. looks can be very deceiving. never assume.
  9. make use of that CR/NC if you know you’re going to pass a class that you really don’t give a shit about.
  10. laughter is medicine. remember to laugh. spend time with people who make you laugh effortlessly, those are one of the best kind of laughs.
